By placing an order on this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Purchase. Please read them carefully before completing your transaction.
1. Product Availability and Description
Inventory Accuracy: We strive to ensure that all product descriptions, stock levels, and technical specifications of our items and appliances are as accurate as possible. However, occasional inventory discrepancies may occur.
Order Confirmation: Your receipt of an automated order confirmation email does not signify our final acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to limit order quantities or cancel an order if an item is unexpectedly out of stock or structurally unavailable for safe dispatch.
2. Pricing and Currency
Dual-Currency System: All prices listed on our storefront are standardly displayed in US Dollars (USD).
Local Equivalent: Transactions may be settled in Liberian Dollars (LRD). For cash or mobile wallet payments settled in local currency, the conversion will be calculated based on the prevailing standard market exchange rate verified at the exact time of order processing or dispatch.
Errors in Pricing: In the rare event that an item is mistakenly listed with an incorrect price, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund or adjust the order total before dispatching the items.
3. Payment Methods
To ensure a secure online shopping environment, we accept the following payment methods:
Mobile Wallets: MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) and Orange Money. All mobile network clearances must be verified on our merchant system dashboard prior to or at the exact moment of order hand-off.
Cash on Delivery (COD): Available for designated standard delivery zones. Buyers must ensure they have the exact change or have confirmed the final cash amount with their dispatch agent beforehand.
4. Delivery and Logistics Rules
By completing a purchase, you agree to the conditions, fees, and timelines detailed on our official Delivery Information page:
Zone 1 ($2.50 USD or LRD equivalent): Central Monrovia to ELWA Junction.
Zone 2 ($3.00 USD or LRD equivalent): Paynesville, Johnsonville, Gardnersville, Duala.
Zone 3 (Calculated at checkout): Fendall, Roberts International Airport (RIA), and Brewerville.
Zone 4 (Leeward Counties): Grand Bassa, Margibi, Nimba, Bong, and other outer counties require manual verification. You must contact our dispatch team via phone or email (modernelectronics@liberlist.com) to receive a custom transport quote before shipping can occur.
Timelines: Same-day delivery applies to Zone 1 and Zone 2 for orders confirmed before 12:00 PM (Monday–Saturday). Orders placed after 12:00 PM, on Sundays, or on public holidays will be dispatched on the next immediate working day following.
5. On-Site Inspection and Returns
Buyer Inspection Requirement: Because electronics and appliances are precision assets, buyers are highly encouraged to visually inspect the external sealed packaging of their products in the presence of the delivery courier or pickup agent.
Defective Items: If an item is found to have an immediate out-of-the-box structural or mechanical defect upon initial inspection, it must be reported immediately to the delivery agent or via our support desk lines (+231 888 776 644 or +231 777 776 644) to initiate an official replacement or resolution pathway.
6. Limitation of Liability
Modern Electronics & Discount Store and its parent infrastructure, Liberlist.com, shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use, inability to use, or performance breakdown of any appliances or products purchased through this platform beyond the original purchase price of the item.
7. Changes to Terms of Purchase
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Purchase at any time to account for updates to our logistics, financial processing, or local retail operations. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will reflect when the latest revisions went into effect.
